Helen Skelton Salon Visit 21.02.12

Blue Peter presenter, Helen Skelton, has returned from her intrepid trek to the South Pole. She conquered 500 miles by bike, kite-ski and ski in some of the world’s toughest conditions. This amazing feat was completed in just 18 days in aid of Sports Relief.

This is not the first expedition Helen has undertaken; previously she has completed the Marathon des Sables and Namibian Ultra Marathon, kayaked the entire length of the Amazon River and walked a 150 metre tight rope 66 meters above the ground between Battersea Power Station chimneys.

We are utterly in awe of her determination, strength and ambition. It was fantastic to have her in the salon and meet her first hand. Mai, Director at Manchester Salon, had the privilege of giving Helen a glamorous look for a shoot with the Manchester Evening News.
